2.3 Geodata and Roof Analysis
With your explicit consent, we collect the following geodata for the automatic roof analysis:
- Geographical coordinates of your building (latitude and longitude)
- Swiss national coordinates (LV95)
- Federal building identifier (EGID) from the building and housing register
- Roof geometry and segments (area, inclination, orientation)
- Calculated solar radiation per roof area

4. Purpose of Data Processing
Your data is processed for the following purposes:
- Creating a free solar potential analysis for your building
- Calculating subsidies and financial viability
- At your explicit request: connecting you with up to 3 qualified solar installers
- Fulfilling legal obligations (e.g. Swiss FADP)
5. Legal Basis
Data processing is based on the following legal grounds:
- Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a FADP): For geodata collection and sharing with installers, we obtain your explicit consent.
- Contract performance / pre-contractual measures: To create your quote request.
- Legal obligation: Where statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Disclosure to Third Parties
Your personal data is only shared in the following cases:
- Solar installers: Name, email, phone and address are transmitted to up to 3 certified partners when you explicitly request this.
- Technical service providers: Hosting providers within the EU/CH under data processing agreements.
- Authorities: Only when legally required.
No data sales: We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.
6a. Data Transfer Abroad
Our infrastructure is located in Switzerland and the EU (Germany).
No data is transferred to third countries without an adequate level of data protection. All EU providers are secured via Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).
7. Storage Duration
- Lead inquiries: 24 months, then anonymised
- Audit logs: 36 months per legal retention requirements
- Invoice data: 10 years per Swiss Code of Obligations
- Cookie consent: 12 months
After the respective retention period, your data is automatically deleted or anonymised.
8. Your Rights
Under the Swiss FADP, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: You may request information about your stored data at any time.
- Right to rectification: Inaccurate data will be corrected upon request.
- Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your data unless legal obligations apply.
