2.3 Geodata and Roof Analysis

With your explicit consent, we collect the following geodata for the automatic roof analysis:

• Geographical coordinates of your building (latitude and longitude)
• Swiss national coordinates (LV95)
• Federal building identifier (EGID) from the building and housing register
• Roof geometry and segments (area, inclination, orientation)
• Calculated solar radiation per roof area

Data Sources: We use publicly accessible geodata from Swisstopo (Federal Office of Topography) as well as solar radiation data from PVGIS (Photovoltaic Geographical Information System of the EU Commission).

4. Purpose of Data Processing

Your data is used for:

• Subsidy Calculation: Calculation of your estimated solar subsidy based on postcode and roof area
• Roof Analysis: Automatic analysis of your roof using satellite data to determine usable roof area, orientation and solar potential. This analysis only takes place with your explicit consent and serves to more accurately calculate your solar potential. Note: Results are estimates and not guaranteed values.
• Lead Mediation: Transfer of your contact details to a maximum of 3 certified solar installers in your region (only with your explicit consent)
• Contacting: Responding to your inquiries via email or phone
• Website Improvement: Anonymized analysis to optimize our services

5. Legal Basis

The processing of your data is based on the following legal grounds according to the Swiss DSG:

• Consent (Art. 31 DSG): For transfer to installers and analysis cookies
• Contract Performance (Art. 30 DSG): For the provision of our services (subsidy calculator)
• Legitimate Interest (Art. 30 DSG): For technically necessary cookies and website security

6. Disclosure to Third Parties

Your data will only be passed on to third parties in the following cases:

• Solar Installers: Your contact and object data will only be passed on with your explicit consent to a maximum of 3 certified installers in your region.
• Swisstopo (Geodata): For the roof analysis, we send your address coordinates to the Swisstopo API to determine building data.
• PVGIS (Solar Radiation): For the calculation of solar potential, we send coordinates and roof inclination to the PVGIS service of the EU Commission. No personal data is transmitted.
• Hosting Provider (Hostinger): Our website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. The servers are located in the EU (Lithuania/Netherlands). Data transfer takes place on the basis of Switzerland's adequacy decision for the EU.
• Database: The database is also hosted by Hostinger and is encrypted.

No Sale of Data: We never sell your data to third parties.

6a. Data Transfer Abroad

Our website is hosted in the European Union (EU). The EU has an adequacy decision from Switzerland according to Art. 16 DSG, which is why data transfer is permissible without additional guarantees.

No data transfer to countries outside the EU/EEA takes place.

7. Storage Duration

• Inquiry Data: 3 years after the last activity
• Consent Evidence: 10 years (legal retention obligation)
• Technical Logs: 90 days (anonymized)
• Cookie Settings: 1 year

After the storage period has expired, your data will be deleted or completely anonymized.
